The Bulls’ 26 years old Point Guard wishes ill on Hawk

The Atlanta Hawks are in a unique position with the first overall pick in the NBA Draft this season.

Unlike last year, when Victor Wembanyama was the clear top prospect, this year’s draft class lacks a consensus number one pick, giving the Hawks several options. They can select the best available player, which could vary depending on their needs and scouting evaluations, or they could trade the pick for established talent or additional assets.

Chicago Bulls point guard Lonzo Ball, who has been sidelined with a serious knee injury since January 2022, expressed his indifference and lack of support for the Hawks on his podcast,

“What An Experience.” Reflecting on the competitive nature between the Bulls and the Hawks, who were close in standings and faced off in the play-in tournament last season, Ball bluntly stated, “I don’t give a f**k, I hope they get worse to be honest.”

As for Ball’s health, there have been positive updates on his recovery. He mentioned on his podcast that he is about 70 percent back to full health and is optimistic about his progress.

Ball said.

“It’s coming along, man,”

“Week by week. It’s improving, so that’s all I can ask for. Still not where I want it to be. Out of 100 (percent), I’d say I’m about 70 (percent). Good enough to play, but it could still get better. I still got a long summer ahead of me. But definitely looking forward to the future.”

Chicago Bulls executive VP of basketball operations, Artūras Karnišovas, also commented on Ball’s condition, noting that they are closely monitoring his recovery.

Karnišovas said.

“We’re just going to wait and see his progression the next couple of months,”  “He’s progressing well. Everything is looking with no setbacks. So we’ll see where he’s at in a couple of months.”

The Hawks’ decision with the first overall pick will significantly impact their future trajectory, and while Ball hopes for their decline, both teams will be looking to improve upon their last season’s performance.

Lonzo Ball’s return to the court could also be a pivotal factor for the Bulls in the upcoming season.
