LeBron James and rivalry son to play together.

LeBron James has previously expressed a strong desire to play alongside his son, Bronny James, in the NBA.

However, this sentiment appears to have shifted recently. Bronny, who declared for the 2024 NBA Draft after one season at USC, is not currently considered a top prospect.

Despite this, many teams might consider drafting him if it increases the likelihood of LeBron joining their roster.

NBA Insider Shams Charania recently addressed this scenario on the Up & Adams show. Charania mentioned that teams might reach out to LeBron or his representatives, inquiring if drafting Bronny would attract LeBron to their team. However, Charania emphasized that, as of now, LeBron is not committed to following Bronny to whichever team drafts him.

Bronny’s collegiate career at USC was marred by a significant health scare, as he suffered a cardiac arrest during a workout, limiting him to just 25 games. During these games, he averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.

If no team takes a chance on Bronny in the draft, the Los Angeles Lakers, who hold the 55th overall pick, might consider drafting him to appease LeBron and maintain their relationship with the superstar.

This situation adds an intriguing layer to the draft dynamics, potentially influencing the Lakers’ draft strategy and the broader landscape of team decisions regarding LeBron’s future.
