Former striker urges Levy to sign Bundesliga’s Omar Marmoush

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Mido has told club chairman Daniel Levy to pursue signing Bundesliga ace Omar Marmoush, as he insists Omar is the perfect player for Ange Postecoglou’s style of play, per Football. London.

Mido wants the North Londoners to sign Eintracht Frankfurt forward in the upcoming summer transfer window. Omar Marmoush has been impressive in his first season at Deutsche Bank Park following a free transfer to the German giants in the summer after he was let go by VfL Wolfsburg.

The 25-year-old has made 25 appearances in the League this season, and while netting 11 goals and recording six assists, he has left an impression for the Lilywhites. The Egypt international has featured predominantly in the centre-forward role; however, he can play on both flanks.

Echoes of Salah? Mido recommends Omar Marmoush as perfect fit for Tottenham’s attack

Citing his form for club and country, Mido wants Tottenham to sign Omar Marmoush. He writes about how he asked the North Londoners to sign Mohamed Salah when he was still at Basel and how the Egyptian went on to become a superstar and possibly the best right-winger the English top tier has seen in quite a while. Mido wants Spurs to not repeat the mistake they made at the time and rather sign the 25-year-old when he is still a raw entity.
Tottenham are looking for a striker going into the summer, and while they intend to make a marquee signing, it would not be ideal to put all the money in one basket. The club could alternatively sign someone like Omar Marmoush as an understudy for starting number nine and look to develop him into a menace with time.
