What Djed Spence did at tottenham has been exposed

Djed Spence left Tottenham on loan once again in January as he headed off to Genoa.

The right-back really hasn’t had the best of times since joining Tottenham and upon his most recent loan move, many suggested that it may be the end of the line for Spence at Spurs.

Indeed, given reported attitude issues and the fact there was an option to buy included in this deal, many suggested that Spence was finished at Tottenham.

However, that may not quite be the case.

Indeed, according to Chralie Eccleshare, speaking on The View From The Lane, the noises coming out from Tottenham in January suggested that Spence may yet have a future at Tottenham.

Djed Spence may still have a chance at Tottenham

Eccleshare shared what he’d heard about Spence, claiming that he was told ‘never say never’ when he was shipped out on loan.

“To be honest, Ndombele, Reguilon, Tanganga, Rodon, Parrott. Their contracts expire next summer. They’d love to get a fee for any of those players. Spence, the noises I was getting in January was sort of a ‘never say never’ sort of way, but it wasn’t like they were really excited about him and waiting for him to get back. It wouldn’t surprise me if they tried to move him on,” Eccleshare said.

Djed Spence’s final chance

Djed Spence may yet get one more chance to impress at Tottenham, but make no mistake about it, this would be his last chance.

Three loan spells in the space of 18 months goes to show that Spurs want to see more from Spence, and now, patience will be wearing thinner than ever.

Spence has to show this summer that he has what it takes for Spurs. Otherwise, after three loan spells, a permanent move away from the club will surely be the next logical step.

Fingers crossed Spence can put it all together an re-establish himself at Tottenham.
