6 Newcastle stars to return in play against palace

Newcastle United could be boosted by the return of several key players for next Wednesday’s trip to Crystal Palace.

Kieran Trippier has been penciled in to return next week and could be back in contention at Selhurst Park, while Tino Livramento and Lewis Hall should also be fit to start after they made the bench on Saturday.

We have a weekend off – unlike Palace – due to scheduled opponents Man Utd playing their FA Cup semi-final, but Eddie Howe could have a few welcome selection headaches in defence.

Elsewhere, Joe Willock got a positive second opinion on his ongoing Achilles issue and could be back soon. Nick Pope’s return date has always been the end of the month and there’s hope Joelinton will be ready to return at the start of May, meaning he could resume training in the next week or two.

Howe will be reluctant to rush certain players back after long-term injuries, but a few key players are edging closer, confidence is high, Bruno has escaped that two-match ban and we’re building momentum at the perfect time.
