View: Rangers ace may never play at Ibrox again Philippe shocked

Kemar Roofe looks set to leave Rangers at the end of the season when his contract at Ibrox expires, with Philippe Clement clearly not rating him.

The Jamaica international has struggled for any regular game time this season after being hit by a host of injuries, which has summed up his career at Ibrox so far.

Roofe’s biggest moment for Rangers this season saw him net a vital goal against Real Betis in the Europa League groups stages to earn a vital 3-2 win, but since then he has barely featured.

The last time the striker even touched the pitch was as a substitute in the defeat to Benfica in the same competition, and he wasn’t even in the match-day squad for the recent 3-3 draw with Celtic.

That’s despite the fact Cyriel Dessers has failed to set Glasgow alight since joining, while Danilo, Abdallah Sima, Oscar Cortes, Todd Cantwell, Ross McCausland and Rabbi Matondo have all been sidelined with injuries at different points of the season.

Kemar Roofe has no future at Rangers

Despite some reports that Clement is unhappy at the situation regarding player contracts at the club, with six players free to leave at the end of the campaign currently, Roofe isn’t someone he will be worried about.

Danilo will be ready to return ahead of the new season, and Clement is likely to want to put his own stamp on the squad during the summer transfer window.

With Roofe already not factoring into the manager’s plans, it seems inevitable that his career at Ibrox is set to come to an end at the end of the season.

With players returning back from injury now and the games dwindling in quantity but raising in importance, he may never get the opportunity to put a Rangers shirt on ever again.
