2024 NFL draft: Zack Pearson’s late March mock (Vol. 4)
The 2024 NFL draft is just under a month away as the process continues on with pro days for college prospects. Since my last mock draft, there have been a few big moves in the NFL that may have impacted the draft.
The biggest came just a few weekends ago when Ryan Poles and the Chicago Bears picked their path and decided to trade Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers. While the return was a future draft pick, the Bears are now in a position to select USC quarterback Caleb Williams at No. 1 overall, something that is the general consensus right now. That means the Washington Commanders are on the clock and have a decision to make with the quarterback position as they welcomed in Dan Quinn as the new head coach.
The Commanders will have their pick of quarterback at No. 2, likely deciding between LSU’s Jayden Daniels and North Carolina’s Drake Maye. After the Commanders, the New England Patriots will await that decision as it will impact what they do at No. 3 overall.
But the quarterbacks aren’t the only story in the draft.
The top 10 will be filled with storylines as it is a very strong class for wide receivers, offensive tackles and edge rushers this year. How many players at those positions will go early? Will any fall to later in the draft?
With the latest news including the conclusion of pro days, I decided to update my mock draft with version 4. This version will be late March and is updated with recent moves that have happened in the NFL.
