Breaking; In Manchester City What A Star Face Today

Feyenoord are considering a move for Manchester City coach Glenn van der Kraan as they look to develop talent for the future of the club.

That’s according to Algemeen Dagblad, who cover the Dutch club today and the potential rebuild at the club that could see Van der Kraan return to the club.

The newspaper explains that the summer is set to be a major one for Feyenoord, with the squad likely to be overhauled as clubs eye their top talents and changed behind the scenes as well.

Head of training Rini Coolen is set to depart and while there are options in the staff who could replace them, they are not being looked at.

Instead, ‘according to insiders’, Sjaak Troost, a member of the supervisory board at the club, has instead been advocating for Van der Kraan to return.

He is currently working with the youngsters at Manchester City, after joining them from Feyenoord in 2020 following several years with the Dutch side.

The question is whether he is being targeted for the right reasons, though. AD argue that if the move is ‘based on his qualities’ then it is absolutely current but if the move is instead to ‘satisfy a certain camp’ at the club then it absolutely should not be made.

In other words, if they believe Van der Kraan is the best man for the job then they should absolutely target the Manchester City coach. If it is about politics, then the opposite is true.

Either way, it seems the idea of bringing him back from the Etihad is at least being floated ahead of a busy summer of change.
