REPORT; Rangers Attacker set to be out of action for up to two months

He was substituted during the game as a precautionary measure initially, but after a scan revealed the extent of the damage he is now set to be out for the foreseeable future.

The curse of Ibrox doesn’t appear to be going away anytime soon, as evidenced by yet another Rangers attack injury this season.

To the surprise of Ally McCoist, Ross McCausland just escaped significant injury; nevertheless, Oscar Cortes will be out for two months, while Abdallah Sima, Todd Cantwell, Kieran Dowell, Rabbi Matondo, and Danilo will all be out for a short spell.

That has led to Philippe Clement being forced to play Dujon Sterling and Fabio Silva out of position in the wide areas, but the team has continued to perform well and get results.

It was possibly an opportunity for young players to come into the side and get minutes too, with the likes of Cole McKinnon getting an appearance from the bench in the 2-2 draw with Benfica.

But if there is to be another attacking opportunity such as the one that saw McCausland get his chance, Lovelace now won’t be available after this latest blow.
