‘Important’ – Official update emerges on Kemar Roofe
Philippe Clement has issued an update on Kemar Roofe ahead of the Rangers v St Johnstone SPFL clash on Sunday, 18 February.
The Belgian confirms that the Englishman is on the right path towards recovering from his long-term injury.
He is expected to return again this season and while he’s not fit currently, could play a key role in the business end of the campaign.
Via the club’s official Twitter handle, Clement said: “Kemar Roofe is working step-by-step to return in a good way. I want him to be 100% before he returns, he still can be very important this season.”
Roofe to fight for his Rangers future?
Roofe faces a critical juncture in his career at Rangers as he races against time to secure his future at the club.
At 31, with his contract expiring at the end of the season and a history of injury proneness that has seen him miss more games than he has played this season, Roofe’s situation is precarious.
Despite his undeniable talent and potential to be a crucial asset for Rangers, his ability to contribute consistently has been hampered by injuries.
With his return from a long-term setback imminent, Roofe must seize the opportunity to prove his worth to the club.
Clement’s update on Roofe’s progress indicates that there is hope for his return and potential impact in the latter stages of the season.
However, the English attacker must demonstrate his fitness, form and reliability in the limited time available to him.
The pressure is on for him to showcase his value to Rangers, not only to secure a new contract but also to reaffirm his position as a vital player in the squad.
It’s a race against time for Roofe to fight for his future at the club and prove that he can overcome his injury setbacks to make a meaningful contribution.
