Everton learn Premier League FFP appeal verdict date as Nottingham Forest watch on
Everton are set to learn the verdict of their appeal against a 10-point deduction this week as Nottingham Forest watch on.
The Toffees were found guilty in November of allegedly breaching Premier League financial rules, before being handed a points deduction which put them in the relegation zone at the time. Everton confirmed that they would appeal the decision, with the result expected to be returned this week.
Everton were also charged for a second time, with Forest charged as well for allegedly breaking Profitability and Sustainability rules (PSR). Both club’s cases are expected to be resolved by May 24 at the latest, five days after the final day of the 2023/24 Premier League season.
A statement from the Toffees after their first charge in November said: “Everton Football Club is both shocked and disappointed by the ruling of the Premier League’s Commission.
