Rangers star “Little Bit Rusty” Admits With Teammate
The Gers swooped to sign the midfielder on loan in the winter transfer window and the deal contains an obligation to keep him permanently in the summer.
Diomande has joined from Danish side FC Nordsjaelland and prior to the move to Ibrox his last competitive outing came at the end of November against Fenerbahce in the Europa Conference League.
He clocked just over an hour against Ayr and Goldson thinks it is clear the midfielder is a little rusty.
Goldson told BBC Scotland: “It was [Diomade’s] first game since November so probably a little bit tired and a little bit rusty.”
The Rangers defender has seen the midfielder up close in training too and is pleased with what he has seen from Diomande.
“Dio in training, showing good signs.”
Rangers are in action at home against struggling Ross County in the Scottish Premiership this week and all eyes will be on whether Diomande is given more minutes.
