Nottingham Forest
Teenage debut and uncommon start for 28-year-old
Nottingham Forest take on Bristol City tonight in the FA Cup looking to set up a date with Manchester United – and we’ve looked at a predicted team.
Forest drew 1-1 with Bournemouth on Sunday and now flick their attention towards cup football.
The first game ended in a goalless draw at Ashton Gate and Forest will hope to find the way towards goal this evening.
Ahead of the game, we’ve looked at a predicted team that Nuno Espirito Santo could call upon.
Predicted Nottingham Forest team to play Bristol City
The Forest rearguard
We fancy changes aplenty tonight as Forest go in search of a place in round five of the competition.
In goal, Matt Turner could deputise with Matz Sels unable to play after signing after the previous game.
Moussa Niakhate could return to the centre of defence as he partners Murillo after returning from the African Cup of Nations.
At full-back, we feel that Gonzalo Montiel will keep his place with Harry Toffolo coming in on the left.
The Forest engine room
Enforced changes will be on the horizon here, with both Nicolas Dominguez and Ryan Yates suspended for this game.
Cheikhou Kouyate looks set to start and we think there will be a debut in the engine room for talented midfielder Joe Gardner.
The 18-year-old has been on the bench for the first-team this season and tonight could be his moment to shine.
He was left out of the B-Team’s game with Newcastle on Monday and that could be telling.
Leading the Forest line
Although Morgan Gibbs-White will be desperate to play, we think he might get a rest tonight and that could see Danilo drop into the number 10 role.
Callum Hudson-Odoi could be injured after picking up a knock on Sunday and that could mean Neco Williams operating out wide.
We do expect Anthony Elanga to continue building up his fitness with a start, whilst Divock Origi should get the nod ahead of Taiwo Awoniyi in attack.
