Hwang Ui-jo’s transfer from Nottingham Forest to Alanyaspor has been confirmed.
The South Korean striker will spend the rest of the season on loan with the Turkish club. He was unveiled by Alanyaspor on Tuesday.
“We believe that it will be beneficial to our club. Our scout team was following him. About two years ago, his transfer was not possible because the costs were too high for our club. I had the chance to transfer him on loan for the second half of the league this season.”
Ui-jo said: “I would like to thank everyone, starting from our president, for their interest in me. From the first moment I arrived, everyone made me feel very welcome.
“Of course, I will do my best on the field, in training, in the match, everywhere and try to contribute to the team. I can’t wait to join the team as soon as possible.”
Ui-jo has not played a single competitive game for Forest since his move to the City Ground from Bordeaux in August 2022, having previously been loaned out to Olympiacos, FC Seoul and Norwich City. He was expected to spend the entirety of this season at Norwich, but his loan was cut short in January.
