Local media are already raving about 20-year-old Nottingham Forest loanee after his debut
Brandon Aguilera enjoyed a debut to remember for Bristol Rovers on Saturday after he swapped Nottingham Forest for League One.
An appraisal of his performance has been printed by Bristol Live.
So, what have the local media said about Aguilera after he moved to Rovers from Forest? Let’s take a closer look…
What the local media have said about Forest talent Brandon Agulera
Well, it would appear as though the talented player is already getting some rave reviews from the media in Bristol.
His goal on Saturday helped the Gas to a victory over Exeter with the strike proving the only goal of the game.
Aguilera moved to Rovers on transfer deadline day and the Forest gem will hope to get plenty of game time during his time with the club.
On Saturday he was straight into the thick of the action and after scoring on his debut, Bristol Live scored him a 9/10 for his performance.
They claimed on their website: “The Costa Rican must have been dreaming of that moment last night. Signed late on Thursday, linked up Friday, and scored a debut worldie on Saturday.
“Obviously, the goal will make the headlines but the midfielder looked incredibly comfortable amongst his new teammates and ran the show at times for the Gas. Really excited to see what he can do for the remainder of the season.”
Forest gem Aguilera could be the star boy in League One
It was great that Forest managed to get Aguilera some regular football for the second half of the 2023/24 campaign – although a move to League One is perhaps surprising.
Aguilera has looked useful enough to play in the Championship when he’s been called upon by Forest and perhaps that would have been a preference.
Clearly, playing football is the priority at this stage, however, and he appears set to grass the chance with both hands.
As a Costa Rica international. Aguilera will now look to seriously get going when it comes to playing club football.
If he can play plenty of games at Bristol Rovers this season perhaps he can make a proper impact at Forest during 2024/25.
