Rangers v Livingston – 9/10 for class act, 6/10 for out of sorts star, player ratings
Rangers faced a Livingston side short of confidence this afternoon with David Martindale continuing to fight against the odds as he cast a jealous glance at Philippe Clement new toys.
The Gers boss has more depth in his squad after making a few additions and with Ibrox crowd were clearly delighted at the sight of Mohamed Diomande and Oscar Cortes joining Fabio Silva.

Jack Butland – 6
Totally anonymous, must do better!
There is no way that the England international has ever had a quieter game.
James Tavernier – 7
Playing almost as an auxiliary midfielder, it’s great seeing the skipper have a new lease of life rather than being stuck out wide just firing crosses in.
Borna Barisic – 7
When he follows Philippe Clement’s game plan he still has a part to play for Rangers, was aggressive in his position and hit the by-line to cross rather than in front of the Livi defence.
Connor Goldson – 6
Just doesn’t seem to be himself recently.
Lost possession a few times or his duels with Joel Nouble, passing and positioning was spot on though.
John Souttar (On early for the concussed Leon Balogun) – 7
Solid, coped with Nouble and drove out of defence with the ball.
John Lundstram – 8
Sign the contract.
Has improved significantly since Philippe Clement arrived and is proving that he can dictate the tempo of our play even against a low block.
Ryan Jack – 7
A strange game to play a more defence minded midfielder alongside Lundstram but the fact that Livi had only 30 touches in our final third with no shots at goal when he was on the park suggests that he did his job.
Todd Cantwell – 9
Not everything came off for him but he kept trying and trying before getting his reward with the killer third goal.
Would have been easy to coast with Rangers having so much of the ball but didn’t stop running.
Ross McCausland- 7
Strange game for the 20-year old.
Loads of possession, three great chances to score and one inch perfect assist.
Needs to find his shooting boots.
Rabbi Matondo- 7
Eerily similar to McCausland, final ball was wanting at times but got a well deserved and much-needed goal.
Fabio Silva – 7
Worked hard in a packed box, lovely finish with not much space for his goal and was inches from a spectacular second.

Oscar Cortes – 8
Yes, that’s high for a 25 minute cameo but he beat his man nearly every time and could have walked off with a couple of assists.
Ridvan Yilmaz – 7
Loves this type of game where he has license to bomb forward, hit the bar with an audacious chip.
Tom Lawrence – 6
Quiet game but moved the ball quickly.
Scott Wright – 6
Usual running power and had one cut back that deserved better.
Cyriel Dessers – 5
Missed a sitter from eight yards out right in the middle of the goals.
