Rangers transfer bulletin as Cyriel Dessers attracts 2 Serie A suitors and Ryan Kent at centre of astonishing storm

Rangers striker Cyriel Dessers is attracting late interest over a potential Serie A return from Hellas Verona and Torino.

The 29-year-old is enjoying a purple goalscoring patch in Light Blue with the £4million striker regularly leading the line for Philippe Clement’s title chasers. But there is bonafide interest from Italy where Dessers previously played for Cremonense. The Nigeria international appeared destined for Ibrox ignominy after suffering under Michael Beale’s stewardship but has three goals in his last three games and 12 on the season.

Any deal to allow the 29-year-old to leave would be factored against the lack of attacking options at Rangers. Wolves loanee Fabio Silva is finding his feet with Abdallah Sima, Danilo and Kemar Roofe on the sidelines due to injury. Verona’s link comes hours after they appeared close to a deal for now Celtic-bound Adam Idah.

Meanwhile, Ryan Kent is the middle of an astonishing storm in Turkey after a leading report claimed fed-up Fenerbache have frozen his contract over their belief the player is rejecting the chance to leave.

That’s a fate which has met a string of players in the past at Fener and now the former Rangers winger – linked with clubs across Europe – appears to be suffering as the Turkish giants aim to speed-up the exit process. TV personality Barış Yurduseven states Fenerbahce are pushing the trigger button to call time on the 27-year-old’s disastrous six months in Turkey.

Elsewhere, Rangers are keen to get deals for Jefte and Oscar Cortes over the line before deadline day. Clement and signing guru Nils Koppen are keen to strengthen the Ibrox side who are aiming to wrestle the title away from Celtic and make inroads in the Europa League.
