Flurry of signings expected at Rangers before deadline as Clement priority emerges

Rangers fans can expect a flurry of signings before the transfer deadline as Philippe Clement looks to add to his title-chasing squad, according to Football Scotland.

The news outlet reported on 29 January that Oscar Cortes and Jefte are likely to arrive ahead of the 11 pm deadline on 1 February, but they’re not expected to be the only ones through the door.

It’s understood that Cortes wants out of Lens and a move to Ibrox gives him a chance to relaunch his career.

Get done soon

The imminent signings of Cortes and Jefte by Rangers offer promising reinforcements to Clement’s squad, especially amidst their title chase.

However, with the transfer deadline looming on 1 February at 11pm and only Fabio Silva and Mohamed Diomande secured thus far, urgency is paramount.

Gers must expedite their transfer dealings to address any remaining squad deficiencies and capitalise on this window to strengthen their position in the league.

While the pending arrivals of Cortes and Jefte are encouraging, Rangers need to ensure they maximise the remaining time to finalise any additional signings.

The competitive nature of the SPFL demands a fully equipped squad, making swift action essential.

Time is of the essence at Ibrox and Clement would hate to miss out on players because competing players decided to act sooner to get deals over the line.
