Rangers are reportedly looking to clinch a deal for Lens winger Oscar Cortes in the closing stages of the January window.

The Ibrox outfit have already signed two players this month and it appears that Philippe Clement is looking to add more firepower to his ranks.

ESPN journalist Julian Capera reported earlier today that the Gers are showing keen interest in signing Cortes. And now, it has been backed up by none other than Heart and Hand Podcast, the official media partner of Rangers.

David Edgar, the man behind Heart and Hand, says that the interest in Cortes is “real”, and the Bears are hoping to wrap up a loan deal in the next 24-48 hours.

“The interest on Oscar Cortes is real. Rangers hoping to bring him in on loan in next 24-48 hours,” wrote Heart and Hand Podcast on X.

More signings

Clement is looking to stamp his authority on the side, and he is trying to bring in new faces. Rangers have already signed Fabio Silva on loan from Wolves while Mohamed Diomande has arrived from FC Nordsjælland.

After signing one striker and one midfielder, the focus has been shifted towards signing a new right winger. The 20-year-old is a highly-talented player and Rangers do hold a strong interest in signing him.

There have been reports that the player is on his way to Glasgow, but Christopher Jack of Rangers Review claims that such rumours are wide of the mark.

He claims that at the moment, no deal has been finalized to bring the 20-year-old to Ibrox ahead of deadline day. However, Rangers are very active in the race to bring the Colombian internationalist to Ibrox in the next few days.

Clement has already admitted that he will be very busy until the end of the transfer window to bolster his squad. So, don’t be surprised if the Gers come up with an official bid for the winger in the coming days.
