According to Netsport report, Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle United are set to compete for the signing of AC Milan forward Rafael Leão (24) at the end of the season.

Whilst PSG want to conclude further signings before the closure of the January transfer window next week, Luís Campos is already working on the summer window. Despite investing significantly in attacking players at the beginning of this season, notably singing players such as Randal Kolo Muani, Gonçalo Ramos, Bradley Barcola, Ousmane Dembélé and Marco Asensio, further attacking reinforcements are on the agenda for next season, especially within the context of the continued uncertainty surrounding Kylian Mbappé’s future with Les Parisiens.

Leão, whom Campos knows from his time at Lille OSC, is on the shortlist, according to Téléfoot. PSG have made concrete steps towards sealing the Portuguese international’s signing at the end of the season, whilst the player himself has also been made aware of Les Parisiens’ interest. Leão is open to considering the move, however, the reigning Ligue 1 champions could face competition from Newcastle, who are also keen to secure the AC Milan forward’s signature.
