Nottingham Forest are keen on signing RB Leipzig goalkeeper Péter Gulácsi in the winter market.

Since the start of the 2022/23 season, the Hungary international has been reduced to a back-up role and the Tricky Trees want to open their door for the 33-year-old.

According to Bild, Nottingham Forest want to ‘lure him’ and have made an ‘official request’ to the Bundesliga side.

Matt Turner has kept two clean sheets and conceded 26 goals from 16 league games, while Odysseas Vlachodimos has been used on five occasions in the league.

Bild claim Nottingham Forest want to make Gulácsi their new No.1 and have offered him a deal until 2026.

Leipzig, for their part, don’t want to let the player leave because manager Marco Rose has stated he’ll give minutes to both first-choice goalkeeper Janis Blaswich and the Hungarian in the second half of the season.

Bild don’t mention if Nuno Espírito Santo’s side have made an offer to Leipzig.

Sky Deutschland also state Nottingham Forest are interested in Gulácsi, but haven’t made a written offer so far.

Unlike Bild, who talk of a contract until 2026, they say the Tricky Trees are aiming for a loan deal and this doesn’t please Leipzig, more so after Rose’s desire to retain the goalkeeper.
